Transformations Scholarship
About the Transformations Scholarship
Relationship violence is an epidemic facing our youth today. Each new generation is affected, especially with the normalization in mainstream media and pop culture. Project PAVE believes that youth have an important voice, and play a vital role in ending the cycle of relationship violence. Project PAVE's annual Transformations Scholarship recognizes personal transformation, and honors youth in our community. We want to pay tribute to youth who have made, or are making, positive contributions toward ending the cycle of relationship violence by raising awareness and empowering themselves and others in their schools and community. Through this process, we hope to empower more youth to take a stand against relationship violence, and encourage youth to continue their activist work in post-secondary education and beyond.
If you are a high school graduating senior or GED recipient who has been active in transforming yourself and others in the area of relationship violence, we encourage you to apply. Applicants must have plans to pursue post-secondary education. Applications postmarked by February 1st, 2012 will be eligible for scholarship awards to cover eligible secondary education expenses. Awards range from $2,000 to $4,000.
