Volunteering at Project PAVE

There are many ways to support the work of Project PAVE. A rewarding and tangible ways is through volunteering. The work of Project PAVE would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. It is important to Project PAVE for volunteers to be fully supported and matched with activities that fit their interests and abilities.

How to Get Started

If you are interested in volunteering, complete and submit the volunteer interest form, being sure to indicate which areas are of most interest to you. Someone will get back to you quickly with available opportunities. Please note that you may be required to complete and pass a criminal background check prior to starting, depending on the area(s) in which you are volunteering.

Volunteering as a Group

Is your office, church, or social group looking for ways to serve the community? Project PAVE may be a perfect fit. We have projects ready for a group of motivated and skilled volunteers. These projects may be customizable to schedules, skill levels, and interests. Start by completing and submitting the volunteer interest form. Someone will contact you for more details about your group and try to match you with a project.

Class Projects

Many academic classes and programs now require or encourage volunteer participation in the community. We want to support you in your educational pursuits by being a place for your short-term volunteer hours. If you have four or more hours of volunteer time to complete for a class, Project PAVE may have a short-term project needing help that would fit perfectly. Fill out the volunteer interest form and indicate that you’re looking to complete a class requirement.

Mandated Community Service

Due to the sensitive nature of much of the work happening at Project PAVE, we are generally not a good fit for those looking to complete required community service hours, such as probation, diversion, etc. If you do have community service hours to complete, there are many community agencies that would be a great fit. We recommend talking with your caseworker or probation officer to get suggestions. Another good place to start your search can be found here.
